Nishant Sahni, MD, MS

Nishant Sahni is a physician at Private MD in Folsom who spent more than 25 years in medicine, including years on the faculty at Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota. He still practices hospital medicine on the side, a way to stay sharp on complex and acute illness that keeps his primary care instincts honed as well.

He built this practice to be small and deliberately unhurried, direct primary care the way medicine used to work before panels of two thousand patients and fifteen-minute visits took over. Having trained inside that system, he wanted room to actually know his patients, think through their cases carefully, and make sense of test results and specialist input rather than just ordering more of both.

That philosophy shapes every visit here, one physician giving patients the time and attention a smaller practice makes possible.
