Dennis Law, MD

Dennis Law is an internal medicine physician at Progressive Primary Care in Sandy, with more than 14 years of experience caring for adults throughout Utah.

He earned his medical degree in 2009 and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Utah in 2012. He started out as a hospitalist, caring for acutely ill patients and managing complex conditions in the hospital setting, and that early grounding in high-stakes care still shapes how he practices today.

Over time his focus shifted to home-based geriatric primary care, and working closely with older adults gave him a deep appreciation for preventive medicine, continuity of care, and building real relationships with his patients. Managing patients with multiple chronic conditions also showed him how the right kind of care can help people stay independent, feel better day to day, and avoid trips to the hospital altogether. That perspective now guides the way he approaches primary care for every patient he sees.
