Brian Lanier, MD

Brian Lanier is a physician at Promina Health in Wilmington. He grew up in Maple Hill, in Pender County, North Carolina, where his family has been for generations, and he carried that connection through his education, studying music at UNC Wilmington before earning a business degree from NC State.

He joined the Marines shortly after the September 11th attacks, and his experiences in Iraq and other parts of the world during that service pushed him toward medicine. After leaving active duty in 2007, he returned to NC State to prepare for medical school and went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 2014.

He's an avid runner, and he spends time cheering on his three sons at their basketball and soccer games and checking out local music with his wife.
