Jose Bacala, MD

Dr. Jose Bacala practices family medicine at Quill Health DPC in Las Vegas, the city he calls home after growing up in an Air Force family. He earned a bachelor's degree in health physics and comprehensive medical imaging from UNLV in 2006, worked as an ultrasonographer, then attended the American University of St. Maarten School of Medicine, graduating in 2011. He completed his family medicine residency at Beaumont Health in Michigan in 2015, later teaching as attending faculty there and serving as medical director for a community urgent care clinic in Metro Detroit.

Back in Las Vegas, he serves as a Ring Physician for USA Boxing and wrote the book How To NOT DIE (Before You Have To).

He lives with his wife Heather, their three children, and two dogs, and rarely turns down a hike. Reading, skim boarding, and one-wheeling round out his free time, and he cheers on the UNLV Runnin' Rebels and Vegas Golden Knights.
