Ujwal Patel, MD

Dr. Ujwal Patel is a board-certified family medicine physician at Raya Whole Health in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences and completed his residency at MercyOne in Des Moines, Iowa, where he cared for patients of all ages, managed complex chronic conditions, and learned to put listening first. After residency he practiced in an urgent care setting in the Atlanta area, and though he valued the patients he saw there, the rushed visits and lack of continuity in insurance-driven care left him wanting something different.

Direct Primary Care gave him a way to practice medicine the way he'd always envisioned, building lasting relationships and getting to know each patient's story rather than treating a billing code. He lives in Brookhaven with his family and calls himself a sports fanatic, happiest spending time with friends, exploring the community, and cheering on his favorite teams.
