Dr. Neema Reddy leads Reddy Family Medicine, a Direct Primary Care practice in Eugene. She opened it after nearly 13 years in conventional medicine, looking for a way to practice without insurance companies and other third parties standing between her and her patients.

Her patients reach her directly by cell phone or text, and she can usually see them the same day or the next. Every visit runs 30 to 60 minutes, long enough that no one feels rushed or leaves the office unsatisfied.

All of this comes for a monthly flat fee. Patients do not need to give up their health insurance entirely. By pairing a complementary plan with a direct care membership, most end up saving more than the membership costs.
