Dr. Nathan Smith grew up in Kentucky and became interested in medicine while working in make-shift village clinics on medical mission trips in Nicaragua with his father.
He went to medical school at the University of Louisville and then moved to Oklahoma for residency training in Family Medicine.
Dr. Smith says the most important things he learned were lessons growing up on a farm: hard work, dedication, seeing a job through to the end, and doing it the right way the first time.
Dr. Smith has several years' experience caring for patients of all ages, managing acute and chronic health conditions, and performing a wide variety of office-based procedures, including joint injections.
He is excited to work in the Direct Primary Care model that gives people the care they need and deserve. Dr. Smith and his wife Maryem have four children and love teaching Sunday school at their church and serving the people of Nicaragua on short-term mission trips.
