Rhonda Carlson, MD

Dr. Rhonda Carlson is a family physician at Rhonda Carlson, MD in Chico, California. Born and raised in northern California, she graduated magna cum laude from Chico State with degrees in chemistry and psychology. She then earned her medical degree with high honors from Loma Linda University School of Medicine before training as a rural family physician at the UC Davis-Merced Family Medicine Residency Program.

She chose family medicine because she loved every specialty rotation in medical school and couldn't imagine narrowing it down to just one. The field lets her connect with each patient as an individual and help however she can. She brings an independent streak, a taste for thinking outside the box, and an unfiltered sense of humor to the work.

She and her husband Jon have been married more than thirty years and raised three kids together. Her job is doctor, and his, as she puts it, is pretty much everything else. Together they aim to provide high-quality, personalized care in a friendly, caring environment.
