Rise Direct Primary Care is owned and operated by Brett and Dorian Billings. Brett is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Dorian is an ER Nurse. Texas-natives who love the outdoors, they spend most of their off days adventuring in nature with their three little boys.

Brett founded Rise on his commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare, that is both accessible and affordable. While working as a primary care provider in a traditional, insurance-based practice, Brett felt stuck between the kind of care he wanted to give and the kind of care corporate healthcare would allow.

In the typical insurance model, medical providers are often seeing 20-30 patients per day, typically only spending 5-10 minutes of actual face-to-face time with patients, and managing panels of 1,200-2,200 patients.

Brett felt this model only allowed the bare minimums of someone's health to be addressed. That's what led him to open Rise under the Direct Care model, cutting out the middleman (insurance) between patients and providers.

By keeping member numbers low, they are able to give each patient unparalleled access to care and take as much time as needed to provide the highest level of healthcare for each person.
