About Brett Billings
Brett Billings is a family nurse practitioner and co-owner of Rise Direct Primary Care in Medford.
He opened Rise after years in a traditional, insurance-based practice, where seeing dozens of patients a day left little more than a few rushed minutes with each one. Frustrated by how much of a person's health that model left unaddressed, Brett moved to direct care, removing insurance from the relationship between patients and provider. Keeping the practice's membership numbers low lets him give each patient the time and attention insurance-based care rarely allows.
A Texas native who loves the outdoors, Brett spends much of his free time in nature with Dorian Billings, Rise's other owner and an ER nurse, and their three young boys.
