Dr. Eva Mackey Meyrat, MD

Dr. Eva Mackey Meyrat is a board-certified family medicine physician at Gem MD in Rockwall, Texas. Known to patients as Dr. Eva, she grew up in Austin and stayed close to home for her undergraduate years at St. Edward's University before heading to Galveston for medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch. Her residency took her further afield, to St. Anthony's Family Medicine Residency in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Eva has practiced family medicine in the Rockwall, Rowlett, Garland, and Mesquite area for 19 years. In 2017 she left Baylor to open Gem MD, driven by a wish to deliver high quality primary care centered on patients rather than paperwork, cutting through the bureaucratic hassles that often get in the way of good care.
