Lisa Zwerdlinger, MD
Dr. Lisa Zwerdlinger is a board-certified family medicine physician at Rocky Mountain Family Practice in Leadville, Colorado. She grew up in nearby Conifer and completed her undergraduate degree, medical school, and residency at the University of Colorado before mountain living drew her to Leadville. After 27 years in practice, she built Rocky Mountain Family Practice around the idea that care should meet patients where and when they need it, not on an insurance company's schedule.
Dr. Lisa has co-authored studies on high-altitude physiology and serves as physician advisor for the High Mountain Institute. Patients and colleagues have recognized her care with several honors over the years, including the Colorado Hospital Association's Superhero Award for her work during the COVID pandemic.
She and her husband Jeff are raising two teenagers on a ranch outside town, where the family works side by side. Lisa spends her free time in the mountains too, mountain biking, rock climbing, ice climbing, and backcountry skiing.
