Kara Keefe, MD

Dr. Kara Keefe is a board-certified family medicine physician with training in lifestyle medicine at Rooted Direct Primary Care in Henrico. She built her practice around a simple frustration with the system she trained in, one full of long wait times, surprise co-pays and short visits driven by everything except the relationship between a patient and their physician.

Starting Rooted let her return to what drew her to medicine in the first place. Rather than rushing through appointments, she focuses on building real relationships with the people she treats, so she can offer personalized, high quality care and stay with patients as they work through their own wellness goals over time.
