Robert Corson, MD

Robert Corson is a family physician at Salt Lake Direct Primary Care in Salt Lake City. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 2002, then moved to Utah for its skiing. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2005.

The years that followed took him through full spectrum family medicine on the Shiprock and Rosebud reservations, outpatient care for uninsured patients at Salt Lake City's Maliheh Free Clinic, acute visits at After Hours Urgent Care, and men's health at the Men's Health Center. For six ski seasons he also worked at the Alta Medical Clinic near the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, treating injuries and emergencies on the mountain. He and his wife spent six months as GPs in New Zealand before he joined Millcreek Primary Care in 2011.

He values the trust that builds between doctor and patient over time. Within the broad range family medicine covers, he especially enjoys men's health, sports medicine, and acute injuries and illness.
