Gregory Skochko, DO, MS
Dr. Gregory Skochko, DO, MS is a board certified family physician with over 12 years of primary care experience including the past several years serving the northwest Philadelphia region. He has provided health care in a wide assortment of outpatient and inpatient settings during his career.
Dr. Skochko commissioned into the Air Force in 2002 and earned his osteopathic medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. He also holds a Master's Degree in Biology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to deciding to pursue a medical career in primary care, he performed antiviral research in the biotech industry. He also will complete his Masters of Public Health Degree from George Washington University this year.
As an active duty Air Force staff family physician for nearly a decade, he achieved clinical and organizational success serving as the primary care doctor for service members, retirees, civilian government employees, and all their dependent family members. During seven years serving overseas, he deployed three times in Pacific-Asia providing humanitarian medical assistance to underprivileged populations and supporting joint personnel recovery missions.
Dr. Skochko specifically enjoys patient- and family-centered care including an emphasis on prevention, education and empowerment of his patients. Admired and appreciated by his patients, Dr. Skochko complements his clinical acumen with genuine care, a down-to-earth and easygoing demeanor, a supportive and non-judgmental approach, and excellent bedside manners.
Dr. Skochko was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs and lives in the local neighborhood. With his professional partners and staff, he is highly committed and invested in the future success of the surrounding community.
In his free time, he has run thirty-five marathons in twenty different states, and cherishes family time with his two young sons.
