My name is Katie and I have proudly worked in the medical field for over 17 years.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Maine, gaining invaluable experience as a registered nurse in a diverse range of inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings. Upon completing my graduate degree from Saint Joseph's College, I transitioned into the role of Nurse Practitioner, specializing in urgent care, orthopedics, and occupational health.
I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner recognized by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as well as the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Moreover, I have pursued additional training in Functional Medicine through the esteemed Institution of Functional Medicine to include advanced training in women's health, hormone therapy, environmental health, and cardiometabolic health.
My interest in health and wellness has been a significant part of my life from an early age. After spending many years working within the traditional medical model, I observed that its focus often veers away from prevention and holistic wellness.
This realization motivated me to open Smart Healthcare in order to provide individuals with the care they deserve.
I believe that progress requires understanding the current health status and identifying realistic steps for improvement. Your health is a personal journey, and with the right plan and support, positive transformation is always within reach.
