About Steven L. Smith

He first began practicing medicine in the United States Air Force in 1992. Since then he has received various awards and honors including: Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service, United States Air Force, 1995; Outstanding Teacher in Internal Medicine, Texas Tech University, 2003; Fellow, American College of Physicians, 2003; Physician of the Year, Harris Methodist Southwest Fort Worth, 2008; Top Doctor, Fort Worth Magazine, 2017. Dr. Smith is also an FAA designated FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner and able to perform Class 1, 2 and 3 Aviation Medical Exams, as well as FAA Employee Exams. When Doctor Smith is not busy taking care of his patients, he is busy being a husband, father of four and grandfather of 5. Doctor Smith enjoys supporting his children's and grandchildren's activities, gardening, and pursuing aviation interests.
