I'm Phoebe Danziger, MD, FAAP. I am a board-certified pediatrician, and I live in Suttons Bay with my husband, Jake, our four wonderful daughters, and our animals (goats, chickens, cats, dogs, two mini horses, and two cows named Frances & Gloria) on our small, eponymous hobby farm, Stowe Farm.I love being a pediatrician - it is an honor and a privilege to work with children and their families to help promote their health and well-being - and I'm thrilled to have brought back an option for pediatric care to Leelanau County.I previously worked for the University of Michigan as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and more recently for a rural health center and community hospital in Otsego County, where I continue to help out as an attending physician on the labor and delivery unit on a monthly basis. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, working in our garden, cooking, and photographing. I am also a writer, and particularly enjoy writing about topics that fall at the intersection of medicine, culture, and ethics. In addition to academic publications, I have written for publications like the New York Times and McSweeney's. I also have additional training in pediatric bioethics.
