Ann Sousa, DO

Dr. Ann Sousa is a board certified osteopathic physician specializing in osteopathic manipulative medicine at Sunshine DPC in Glastonbury, Connecticut. She has practiced in Connecticut since 2003 and settled in Glastonbury in 2008, building an integrative practice around Osteopathy in the Cranial Field and the biomechanics of the body's own healing patterns, along with training in clinical homeopathy. For years she also taught osteopathic manipulative medicine to medical students as a clerkship director at the University of New England's Manchester Memorial Hospital site.

The practice takes its name from a line by the founder of osteopathy, who described seeing "a small light in the horizon of truth." That preventive, whole person view of medicine is what drew her to direct patient care.

She and her husband are raising two children in a busy household, and nearly two decades in she still loves the Connecticut River and the beauty of the state. She spends her free time watching sunrises, meditating, walking her dog, and driving her kids around.
