Jennifer Valentin, MPAS, PA-C, DMS

As a certified Physician Assistant, I am passionate about providing quality, personalized, and affordable care to my patients and the community. I was born in Philadelphia, and as a teenager relocated with my family to Jacksonville, Florida. I grew up having a desire and belief that one day I would work in the healthcare field and help make a difference in taking care of others. Directly out of high school, I enlisted in the US Army Reserve where I started my training in the medical field as a Surgical Technician. I graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 with my Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, became certified in 2013 and in 2019 attended Lincoln Memorial University where I obtained my Doctor of Medical Sciences. I have over 10 years of experience and I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings including internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology specifically with MOH's surgery treating skin cancer patients, psychiatry, urgent care, family care, and pediatrics. I started working in Fort Myers and in 2014 relocated with my children to Lake County. In 2016, I was faced with a dire medical condition that made me reassess what I had learned in medicine and how I saw people being cared for. In 2019, I was introduced to the Direct Primary Care model and at that moment I knew there was a better way to make connections with patients while providing them the quality of care they deserved. My passion and goals are to provide compassionate, quality care and build lasting relationships with my patients and beyond. I work to help teach and empower patients not to focus on reacting to sickness, but to learn to be proactive in their health and make long-term changes that will promote wellness for the rest of their lives and hopefully into generations to follow. When I am not caring for my patients I enjoy spending time with my youngest son, visiting my family and serving my community.
