Dr. Felecia Sumner, DO was inspired to be a doctor after experiencing her own family's struggles with healthcare. She was heartbroken after witnessing the failures of the traditional healthcare system where her family was often treated like numbers instead of people.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Sumner has spent most of her life in the Philadelphia area and surrounding suburbs. She met her husband, Doyne while they were in college and they have been together ever since. They have three beautiful children.
She enjoys quality time with her family, singing, cooking, reading, and taking day trips to random new areas. Dr. Sumner obtained her bachelor's degree with honors in biology/pre-medicine from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. She obtained her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She completed her family medicine residency at Crozer-Keystone in Delaware County, PA and was praised for her dedication to the community throughout her residency and years as an attending physician. She has spent time practicing in the urban and suburban areas of Philadelphia and Delaware County, as well as in rural Georgia.
