Vanessa Tartaglia, DO

Dr. Vanessa Tartaglia started her Direct Primary Care practice after years of working in a traditional family medicine office and seeing the downfalls firsthand.

With a patient load of more than 3,000, she felt her patients were constantly waiting for access to her. She envisioned a small, intimate practice to care for patients the way they deserve.

She wanted to make medicine personal again by placing the doctor-patient relationship at the center of her practice. Now it's like having a doctor in your own family.

Dr. Tartaglia believes in working in partnership with patients, creating plans to achieve a healthier lifestyle through nutrition, exercise guidance, and exceptional medical care.

She received her undergraduate degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Arizona and became a Registered Dietitian. She completed medical school at Midwestern University Arizona Osteopathic Medicine and residency at Banner University Good Samaritan Family Practice Residency, where she served as Chief Resident.

As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, she is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Arizona Academy of Family Physicians. She was recognized as a 2019 Top Doctor in Phoenix Magazine.

As an Arizona native, she grew up on a farm in Peoria, which gave her a strong work ethic and exposed her to entrepreneurship. As the youngest of five children, she valued serving others.

She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have three amazing kids. They live, play, CrossFit and attend church in Peoria, Arizona with their two dogs, and frequently venture out for weekend camping trips.
