Cliff Porter

Dr. Cliff Porter is a board-certified family medicine physician and the founding managing partner of Texas Direct Medical Care in Creedmoor, Texas. Before opening the practice, he served as medical director for several urgent care clinics in Travis County.

Porter's path to primary care ran through the Army. Stationed at Fort Hood, he practiced full-service family medicine for active duty soldiers, their families, and retirees, covering everything from primary care and hospital admissions to emergency medicine, intensive care, and obstetrics, including delivering babies in the middle of the night. He retired as a Colonel after service with the 1st Armored Division, a 2011 deployment to Iraq, and time in the Army Reserve and Texas Army National Guard, where he served as senior flight physician for the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade.

He settled permanently in Austin and has since built his practice around the Direct Primary Care model.
