Leah Gilliam, MD

Leah Gilliam, MD, practices family medicine at The Doctor's Office at 83 S. Main in Lexington, Tennessee, using a direct primary care model to give patients of all ages more personalized, unhurried care.

A Tennessee native, Gilliam grew up watching the young family physicians her mother worked with, and receiving a doctor Barbie doll for her fourth birthday only deepened her pull toward the field. She graduated from Lexington High School, then earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and her family medicine residency at the University of Tennessee, Jackson, before returning home to practice in the community where she grew up.

Gilliam is married to her high school sweetheart, Justin, and lives on the family farm, grateful to practice medicine in the community she loves.
