Dr. Disha Spath is a board-certified internal medicine physician and founder of Thrive Direct Primary Care in Latham. She spent years working in hospitals and traditional primary care settings before deciding there was a better way to practice medicine.
Rushed visits, long wait times, and insurance barriers left both patients and physicians frustrated, so she started Thrive DPC to bring back old-fashioned doctoring paired with modern technology. She works closely with patients who want to take a proactive, hands-on role in managing their health, with particular focus on preventive and lifestyle medicine for longevity, cardiovascular risk reduction, bone health, and personalized wellness for busy professionals. She also has an interest in women's health, including menopause management.
Dr. Spath graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia, where she was a Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities scholar and contributed 29 novel human genes to the Human Genome Project database. She earned her M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee.
