Robert Ting, MD

Robert Ting is a family medicine physician at Ting Family Medicine in Moscow, Idaho. He grew up in Niles, Ohio, where his father inspired him to pursue medicine, and he went on to study at Saint Louis University and Miami University before earning his medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio. A pull toward the West led him to a rural family medicine residency at Idaho State University Family Practice Residency, and he settled in Moscow in August 1998.

For 20 years he practiced full-spectrum family medicine, including high-risk obstetrics, before shifting his focus to outpatient care. Now in his 28th year of practice, he is launching a direct primary care model so he can spend more time with each patient.

A father of six, he makes the most of Idaho living through fly fishing, rafting, paddleboarding, and foraging for wild mushrooms. He has played and coached hockey for two decades and also enjoys snowboarding, ping pong, tennis, and golf.
