Marshal Harpe, DO

Marshal Harpe is a physician at Trout Lake Clinic in Trout Lake. He grew up on a small farm in Amboy, Washington, and headed to the U.S. Naval Academy planning to fly jets, until a serious medical condition and a long hospital stay changed his course toward medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2000, then returned to the Navy as a Medical Officer and completed his family practice residency at Naval Hospital Bremerton.

Over 28 years of service he deployed aboard two Navy ships, served an overseas tour with the Marines, and worked as senior medical officer on Diego Garcia before retiring from Naval Hospital Oak Harbor in 2016. A training conference near the end of his career introduced him to direct primary care, and he moved with his family to Trout Lake to bring that kind of medicine to the surrounding small towns.

He and his wife, Shanea, have two children, Gabriel and Lydia, and he spends his free time hiking, archery hunting, fishing, running, and cycling.
