Crystal Skinner, MD

Tuscaloosa native Dr. Crystal Skinner is board certified in Family Medicine. She attended to the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency in Tuscaloosa.She is a 3-time alum of the University of Alabama, receiving two Bachelor of Science degrees and one Master's Degree.Dr. Skinner enjoys all the challenges that Family Medicine can bring, from managing chronic conditions to acute issues. While medicine always brings a unique set of challenges, what really drives Dr. Skinner daily is building relationships with her patients.Due to the current nature of traditional medicine, it is very difficult to build relationships with patients due to time constraints and constant pressure placed on doctors to see more patients in less time. This is the beauty of Direct Primary Care. By taking insurance out of the equation, there is freedom to know patients on a more personal level, build lasting relationships, and communicate openly.Dr. Skinner currently lives in Tuscaloosa with her husband, Daniel, and her 3 children: Ruth Ann, Nora Cate, and Lane. They spend most of their time at the softball field, as both girls play travel ball with Softball Country.
