Victoria Leventis-Shew, DO
Dr. Victoria Leventis-Shew is board certified in family practice and osteopathic manipulative therapy and provides primary care and occupational health services at Victory Family Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina, where she has practiced since 2010.
The daughter of a retired Army lieutenant colonel, she grew up around the country before her family returned to South Carolina in 1991, and she graduated from Wade Hampton High School in Greenville. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia in 1999, where a hippotherapy practicum during her junior year, watching patients improve through therapeutic horseback riding, pulled her from pre-vet toward medicine. From there, she trained at Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine, completed a fellowship in osteopathic principles and practice, and finished her family medicine residency in Columbus, Georgia, in 2010 before returning to Columbia.
She remains an advocate for adjunct therapies such as hippotherapy, acupuncture, osteopathic manipulative treatment, and aquatic therapy.
