Mary Tierney, MD

Dr. Mary Tierney is a family medicine physician board certified in both Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine at Walnut Grove Family Medicine in Willow Street. She trained at the Milton S. Hershey Family and Community Medicine Residency Program, graduating in 2015 after serving as chief resident the year before.

She went on to complete a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the Fairfax Family Medicine Program in Fairfax, Virginia, working with athletes from the high school level up through the professionals. Afterward she trained at the Helms Medical Institute and has been licensed in medical acupuncture since 2017.

Family comes first for Dr. Tierney, and she treasures time with her husband, two children and dog. She's also drawn to hiking, skiing, running, traveling and trying new restaurants, and she brings that same curiosity to getting to know her patients and their families as she works toward their health goals.
