Seth Winterton, MD

A lifelong wanderer before settling into medicine, Dr. Seth Winterton now sees patients at Waves Family Health in Oviedo. Originally from Utah, he has also lived in California, Texas, Canada, and Nevada, and has practiced full-spectrum family medicine since finishing medical school at the University of Nevada, School of Medicine and his residency at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo.

After residency, he and his family settled in a small rural town in Iowa, where he ran a busy clinic while also caring for hospitalized patients and delivering babies. He spent plenty of time in the emergency department too, which sharpened his ability to spot problems early and act on them quickly. Through all of it, he has come to believe that real trust with patients comes from listening, not just diagnosing. Delivering babies and caring for newborns left him with a real fondness for pediatrics, though he happily treats patients of every age.

He and his wife Stephanie have four boys together, and he's a spiritual leader at his local church. When he gets a chance to unwind, he's usually weight lifting, wakeboarding, wake surfing, hunting, fishing, or riding dirt bikes.
