Jill Friesen, MD

Dr. Jill Friesen has practiced medicine in Redding for over twenty years, seeing patients now at Wellcare MD. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed her residency right there in Redding, building deep roots in the community she serves.

After years in traditional family practice, she grew frustrated watching insurance companies and government agencies eat into the time she could spend with patients, a shift she felt was hurting both the quality of care and the doctor-patient relationship itself. That frustration led her to start Wellcare MD, where she could practice medicine the way she believed it should work, personalized and centered on the patient in front of her.

Through Wellcare MD, Friesen now acts as an advocate for the people she treats, helping them navigate a complicated medical system to get the care that actually fits their individual needs.
