Leland Gyr

Dr. Leland Gyr is a family physician and co-founder of WellJourney Medicine, a fully virtual direct primary care practice based in Canton. He earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at Spectrum Health, now CoreWell Health, a program affiliated with Michigan State University.

Gyr is drawn to the eclectic nature of primary care, where he works with patients of every age and addresses everything from pediatrics to geriatrics to mental health. His approach centers on building long-term relationships and staying with patients through each stage of life.

At home he keeps busy with his wife, Ashlie, and their two energetic young sons, spending as much time outdoors as he can through hiking and pickup soccer. He also likes to cook, especially when it draws the whole family to the table.
