Leland Gyr

Leland is a Co-Founder of WellJourney Medicine and Family Physician that loves helping people. He attended medical school at Ross University, School of Medicine and completed Family Medicine Residency at Spectrum Health (now CoreWell Health), a program of Michigan State Univeristy. He is drawn to the eclectic nature of primary care, where he can engage with a wide range of patients—from children to older adults—and address diverse needs including pediatrics, geriatrics, and mental health. His approach to care is rooted in building long-term relationships and supporting patients through every stage of life. Outside of medicine, he is joyfully busy with his wife (Ashlie Gyr) and two energetic young sons. He spends as much time as possible in the outdoors—hiking, playing pick-up soccer, or simply enjoying family time. He also enjoys cooking, especially when it brings everyone together around the table.
