I was raised on a local farm in Darke County with two brothers where I learned hard work, determination, and how to be independent. I am happily married with three children. We have three small dogs, pigs, and chickens.
I graduated from Arcanum Butler local schools in 1998 then moved on to start my nursing career at Edison State with an Associate's Degree in applied science/nursing in May 2000. I immediately started working as a registered nurse at Good Samaritan hospital on the cardiovascular surgical unit and later transferred into the ICU.
I decided to continue my education at Indiana Wesleyan University and graduated in August 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing. I knew I wanted to further my education and pursued a Master's Degree in nursing. I graduated in December 2006 with the title Nurse Practitioner.
After graduating with my Master's Degree I started working at The Ohio State University in thoracic surgery. My husband and I decided to move our family of three back to Darke County where we then had two more children. Since moving back to Darke County I have worked with OB/GYN's and cardiologists, but for the last 10 years I worked in Arcanum, OH providing Primary Care.
