Abby Whitaker, NP

Abby Whitaker is a nurse practitioner at WhitakerDPC in Greenville. She earned her associate's degree in nursing from Edison State in 2000 and started her career as a registered nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, working first in cardiovascular surgery and later in the ICU. She went on to complete a bachelor's degree in nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2003, then a master's degree in December 2006 that made her a nurse practitioner.

After graduate school she worked in thoracic surgery at The Ohio State University before moving her family back to Darke County, where she has since worked alongside OB/GYNs and cardiologists. For the last ten years she has focused on primary care in Arcanum, Ohio.

Raised on a farm in Darke County with two brothers, she learned the value of hard work and independence early on. She is happily married with five children, and her household includes three small dogs along with some pigs and chickens.
