Jillian Scherer, MD

Dr. Jillian Scherer practices family medicine at Whole Family Health Medical Clinic, S.C. in Olney, Illinois, where she opened the town's first direct primary care practice in 2018. She grew up in Streamwood, Illinois, and studied biology at the University of St. Francis in Joliet before earning her medical degree at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Her residency in family practice was completed at the Waukesha Family Medicine Residency in Wisconsin.

Before coming to Olney, she practiced at Richland Medical Center in Richland Center, Wisconsin, where her work spanned general family practice, obstetrical care, inpatient hospital care, and urgent care. Preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine, and lactation and breastfeeding medicine are areas she's especially drawn to, and direct primary care let her build the kind of unhurried, caring relationship with patients that first drew her to medicine.

She and her husband, Mark, moved to Olney in 2018 to be closer to his family while raising their two children, and she's been glad to put down roots and get to know the community she now serves.
