L. Michelle Seawright, DO
Dr. L. Michelle Seawright is a board-certified family medicine physician at Whole Hart Wellness in Hartwell. A native of Hartwell, she went to college at North Georgia University in Dahlonega before completing medical school at Lincoln Memorial University's DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, in 2013.
She trained in family medicine through the United States Navy, completing her residency at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, in 2016. From there she served four years as a staff physician at Naval Branch Health Clinic Kings Bay in Georgia, rounding out seven years of active Navy service before returning home. Practicing in Hartwell now fulfills a dream she has held since childhood, caring for the community that raised her.
She is married and has a seven year old son, and outside of medicine she likes being outdoors, whether that means kayaking or hiking.
