Dana Mays, MD

Dr. Dana Mays is a board certified family physician at YaphaMD in Pineville. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and completed her family medicine residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Alexandria. Before medical school she studied to become a physician assistant at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport and later earned a master's degree in biological sciences from Louisiana Tech University. She is licensed to practice in Louisiana, Colorado, Florida, and Texas.

Dr. Mays founded YaphaMD out of a mission rooted in her faith. She named the practice after the Hebrew verb yapha, which means to shine out or send forth light, and her goal is to bring that same light into everything she does for her patients.
