Halcyon Health in SSI is led by Lauren Whitley, who has been practicing medicine independently since 2016. Raised in Memphis, she pursued her medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, graduating in 2012, and trained in family medicine at the Montgomery Center for Family Medicine in Greenwood, SC.
That residency shaped her approach. She grew focused on the doctor-patient relationship as the key to helping people stay well over the long run, rather than just treating problems as they came up. Frustrated by the barriers the current medical system puts between doctors and patients, she founded Halcyon Health in 2022 to rebuild that connection and offer care that's genuinely available when patients need it.
She and her husband, Dr. Justin Whitley, have been married since 2007 and are raising four children together in the Golden Isles. When she's not seeing patients, she's outdoors with her family, cooking, painting, or exercising.
