Adam Courchaine, DMS, PA-C Founder & Medical Director Adam Courchaine, DMS, PA-C is the founder and Medical Director of NuMed Direct Primary Care in Centennial, Colorado. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, his background includes internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, urgent care, and comprehensive primary care. Adam founded NuMed in 2018 after recognizing the limitations of traditional insurance-based healthcare. NuMed was created to restore a relationship-centered approach to medicine—one that prioritizes time with patients, thoughtful diagnostic evaluation, prevention, and long-term health optimization rather than reactive disease management. Adam earned his Doctor of Medical Science from Lincoln Memorial University and his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He began his career as an exercise physiologist and pulmonary technologist at Boston Children’s Hospital before transitioning into clinical medicine in 2006. Over the past two decades, his clinical experience has included internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, urgent care, and comprehensive primary care. Adam’s clinical interests include metabolic health, hormone optimization, and longevity-focused care. He has completed advanced training through Worldlink Medical in evidence-based bioidentical hormone therapy and metabolic medicine, focusing on physiologic hormone management to support cardiovascular health, metabolic function, bone integrity, and cognitive performance. Outside of clinical practice, Adam serves as a Major in Aeromedical Medicine with the CO Army National Guard, where he has deployed in support of military operations in the Middle East and Kosovo. When he’s not caring for patients, Adam enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and four dogs, often hiking, rucking, and staying active through functional fitness. “NuMed was founded on a simple belief: good medicine requires time, curiosity, and a commitment to helping patients build durable long-term health.”
