Dara Courchaine, RN REGISTERED NURSE After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Hartwick College in 1996, Dara chose to pursue a career in nursing and completed her Registered Nurse (RN) degree at Massachusetts Bay Community College in 2003. She spent five years working on a Medical Telemetry unit at Norwood Hospital in Massachusetts, where she developed a strong clinical foundation, before transitioning into home health nursing. Through these roles, Dara gained broad experience caring for patients across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on education, prevention, and long-term health support. In 2019, Dara joined NuMed Direct Primary Care with a shared commitment to prioritizing health, prevention, and whole-person care. She is a Registered Nurse who serves in a patient integration and health insight role, helping patients understand their health history, reduce overwhelm, and navigate care with greater clarity and confidence. Drawing on experience in both hospital and home health settings, as well as functional medicine training through the Kresser Institute, Dara supports patients in making sense of complex information and integrating care plans into everyday life in a practical, sustainable way. Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and focused on education rather than diagnosis or treatment. Outside of her professional role, Dara lives with her husband, Adam, their two children, and three dogs. She has a strong passion for healthy living and enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature, hiking, and sharing new adventures with her family.
