Dr. Byron Haney is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with over three decades of experience providing full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages. He studied biochemistry at UC Davis, received his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed his Family Medicine Residency in Modesto, California. In 1990, Dr. Haney founded Family Health Care of Ellensburg and grew it into one of the most successful independent primary care practices in Washington State. He served as Chief of Staff and Family Medicine Department Chair at Kittitas Valley Hospital, taught medical students as an Associate Professor of Medicine, and served as a principal investigator in multiple clinical trials. Dissatisfied with what he terms "rapid substandard healthcare," Dr. Haney found his passion in Direct Primary Care. In 2019, he converted his practice to a DPC model and rediscovered the joy of truly patient-centered care. After a brief attempt at retirement, he joined Polaris Medical to continue advocating for accessible, relationship-driven medicine. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with family and his church community.
