Patricia Herbert, MD

Patricia Herbert is a family physician joining Progressive Health Primary Care in Oak Park, where she'll begin seeing patients in January 2026. She has practiced family medicine for over 15 years.

A Chicago native, Herbert earned her medical degree at Rush University Medical School and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Minnesota/North Memorial Medical Center in Minneapolis. She chose family medicine because it lets her focus on the relationship between patient and physician, and she believes that getting to know a patient and their family helps her understand what's really behind their health issues.

Prevention is a particular focus for her. She enjoys working with patients on heading off chronic conditions and helping them stay active.
