Laura Nash, RN

Laura Wolter Nash is a pediatric nurse at Shining Star Pediatrics in Louisville. She built her early career in neonatal intensive care, working at institutions like the University of California, San Francisco, where she cared for critically ill newborns and coordinated complex discharges, and later contributed to pediatric patient care innovations in a surgical setting.

She then spent over a decade in higher education with the Wharton MBA Program for Executives, playing a key role in admissions by evaluating candidates and supporting applicants as part of a team that helped shape diverse, high-achieving cohorts. The COVID-19 pandemic drew her back to her original passion for nursing, and she returned with renewed dedication to patient care.

A mother of two teenage boys, she finds that experience deepens her empathy, communication, and effectiveness with young patients.
