Brittany Hattier, DO

Dr. Brittany Hattier is a board certified family medicine physician at Vieux Care in Metairie, Louisiana, where she treats both adults and children. Raised in Statesville, North Carolina, she studied biology at East Carolina University, where she worked on breast cancer research and interned at the National Cancer Institute. She then headed to Lincoln Memorial University's DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she met her husband, Dr. Timothy Hattier, and the two later trained together in Michigan. Hattier finished her family medicine residency in 2017, after being elected chief resident during her senior year.

The couple moved back to Louisiana that year, and Hattier took a job as an employed primary care physician before discovering direct primary care. She wanted unlimited time with patients and the chance to focus on individual needs instead of insurance requirements, and found that at Vieux Care. She keeps a garden, stays active with exercise, catches concerts with her husband, and spends much of her time with her kids.
