Brittany Hattier, DO

Dr. Brittany Hattier was born and raised in Statesville, North Carolina. She attended East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, where she received a Bachelor in Science in Biology. During her undergraduate career, Dr. Hattier worked extensively on breast cancer research. She went on to complete an internship at the National Institute of Health, National Cancer Institute, before graduation. Dr. Hattier then moved to Harrogate, Tennessee, to attend Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. It is here that she met her husband, Dr. Timothy Hattier, a Louisiana native when he invited her to her first crawfish boil. Together they moved to Michigan for residency training. In 2017 Dr. Hattier completed her training in Family Medicine, where she was elected Chief Resident during her senior year. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and practices adult and pediatric medicine. Dr. Hattier moved back to Louisiana with her husband and children in 2017 to take an employed position as an outpatient Primary care physician with North Oaks Hospital System. It was during her time as an employed physician that she learned of direct primary care. She dreamed of unlimited time with patients to learn their stories and understand how to offer individualized treatment to each patient. She wanted to focus on patient needs not insurance requirements. The approach at Vieux Care was the perfect fit. It allowed her to not only be accessible to patients but give each person the attention they deserved to ensure quality care. Her goal, simply stated, is to bring medicine back to its core roots. When she is not working, Dr. Hattier enjoys gardening, exercise, concerts with her husband, and most of all spending time with her little ones.
