Elaine Habig, MD FACP

Dr. Elaine Habig is a board-certified internist at Westfield Premier Physicians in Carmel. She grew up in southwest Indiana, earned a chemistry degree from Indiana State University, and went on to Indiana University Medical School before completing her residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

With more than 30 years in internal medicine across both hospital and outpatient settings, she has cared for adults through everything from routine visits to complex, layered conditions, with particular focus on diabetes, cardiology, chronic disease, and preventive care. She also built a disease management software system that physicians still use today. Patients know her for a holistic approach, an ability to connect the dots on a hard case, and a knack for explaining it all in plain terms.

Married for 37 years and the mother of three, she understands firsthand what it takes to balance work and family. When she isn't seeing patients, she plays piano, sings in her church choir, tends to her plants and cats, and travels.
