Enacted 2017 (LD 1385 / SP 472), codified at 22 M.R.S. § 1771 (Title 22, Health and Welfare — not the Insurance Code). Maine later passed a 2019 law (LD 1197) requiring carriers to honor referrals from DPC providers as in-network.
