Max Binstock

Dr. Max Binstock is a board-certified family medicine physician and co-founder of Marin Family Medicine in Greenbrae. A Marin native and Redwood High School graduate, he earned his medical degree from UCSF and a master's in health sciences through the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program, then trained at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, known for its full-spectrum, community-oriented family medicine. He also graduated with highest honors and Phi Beta Kappa from UC Santa Barbara.

Before helping start the practice, he worked as a hospitalist in rural towns like Truckee and Fort Bragg, often the only internist on staff. An early interest in environmental education, small-scale farming, herbalism, and Ayurveda shaped his approach to integrative health, and he blends those traditions with his medical training to treat the whole patient, favoring evidence-based care, partnership, and curiosity.

He lives in San Anselmo with his family, glad to practice in the community that raised him.
