Sue Miranda, MD

Dr. Sue Miranda is a family medicine physician at Pinnacle Advanced Primary Care in Colorado Springs. Born in Wyoming and raised in Aurora, Colorado, she graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School in 1990. She completed her family medicine residency there in 1993.

She spent 13 years on faculty at the University of Iowa, then taught at a community residency program in South Carolina. There, her work spanned delivering babies, inpatient and ICU care, and routine outpatient visits. After a stint in urgent care while her children finished school, she returned to Colorado in 2018. She split her time between outpatient family medicine and rural clinics in Yuma and Leadville before joining Pinnacle in June 2023, embracing the direct primary care model she had wanted to practice for years.

She reads, gardens, and knits in her spare time, and sings with Denver's Cherry Creek Chorale. Married with two grown children and a grandson, she has taken medical mission trips to Haiti and Honduras, with more planned ahead.
