Steven Pritchett, MD

Steven Pritchett is a family physician at Rural Family Direct Care in Freeburg. Born and raised in Mascoutah, Illinois, he stayed close to home for his training, earning a biology degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1993 before finishing medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield in 1997. He completed his residency through the SIU Family Medicine Residency program at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in 2000 and now serves as a clinical assistant professor for SIU School of Medicine.

Pritchett met his wife, Joan, during residency, and the two settled in Mascoutah to raise their sons, Alex and Nickolaus. When he has free time, he likes to get out on his motorcycle.
