About Andrew Kirschner

Andrew S. Kirschner, D.O followed the personalized practice model of his father and other old-school Osteopathic mentors and set out to offer the most personalized level of treatment of its kind in the area. He opened his private family practice in Bala Cynwyd in March,1999. Dr. Kirschner graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. He completed his residency in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manual Medicine at Mercy Suburban General Hospital in 1998. He has been a clinical assistant professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has served as preceptor for medical students from PCOM, Temple University, the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also served as the clinical Director of Osteopathic Medicine for Main Line Health's family practice residency. He has published two well-reviewed books on back and neck pain, and has spoken extensively on the subject. In his more than two decades of private practice, Dr. Kirschner has developed a reputation for treating patients with empathy, compassion, and respect and has established quality relationships with many of the regions best specialists. He has cared for patients from every background including those with complex medical problems as well as professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, USPTA and the PGA. Dr. Kirschner commits to collaborative, inclusive care. In his experience, well-informed patients, who take agency in their own wellness tend to enjoy better outcomes. He has always served as a steadfast advocate for his patients. He decided to transition his practice to a Direct Primary Care model in order to provide patients with the enduring, meaningful, and effective care that they deserve. When he isn't practicing medicine, Dr. Kirschner plays and composes Jazz and Pop piano. He has performed in the U.S. and Europe. He is a big fan of Sci-Fi, as well as a certified expert in Port wine and plans to soon earn his certification as a sommelier. Dr. Kirschner and his wife, Donna live in Bala-Cynwyd with their three daughters and a scrappy Shih Tzu.
