Matthew Keenan

Dr. Matthew Keenan is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Priority Physicians of Carmel in Carmel. Raised in South Bend, Indiana, he earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and a master's in public health at Johns Hopkins University. After spending time in the Peace Corps in Peru, he attended medical school at Indiana University, then completed his internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore.

Keenan wants to understand his patients as individuals and pair that understanding with newer approaches to preventing and treating disease. He finds the constant growth of medicine exciting, but believes quality care will always come down to time spent with people and the relationships that grow from it.

He and his wife have a young baby, and the family loves getting outside together. Outside of work, he enjoys distance running, cycling, pickleball, tennis, and reading.
